Former Haas Components 1 group principal Guenther Steiner has issued a powerful warning to Esteban Ocon, suggesting the Frenchman will lose his seat by the top of the season except he can “change one thing drastically”.
Talking throughout The Purple Flags Podcast after Ocon’s 14th-place end on the Canadian Grand Prix, Steiner claimed: “I believe he’s passed by the top of the 12 months. He’s not again subsequent 12 months. Look, what number of laps was he down? Two laps, three laps.”
When pressed on whether or not Ocon may salvage his place inside the American outfit, Steiner was sceptical. “If he would not change one thing drastically, he won’t be there subsequent 12 months,” the previous group chief mentioned.
This comes after experiences that Ocon could possibly be in bother at Haas, claims the group strongly denied throughout the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
Responding to claims that there had been a disagreement between Ocon and group principal Ayao Komatsu, the latter mentioned in Montreal: “I truthfully do not know the place the story got here from, no thought. No basis by any means, absolute bull****.
