Though this signal has now been confirmed as a misprint, it follows Wheatley’s abrupt exit from on 20 March 2026 attributable to “private causes”.
Whereas Wheatley is but to verify his subsequent transfer, Motorsport.com understands that the previous Audi group principal is because of transfer to Aston Martin.
As images of the signal made their method throughout social media, one fan commented on Reddit, “Nobody will announce it if Wheatley strikes to Aston… however there will likely be indicators.”
