Animal rights organisation PETA has urged Canadian Grand Prix organisers to implement stronger wildlife deterrents after driver crashed out of Friday’s sole follow session whereas taking evasive motion to keep away from a marmot.
The Thai-British driver suffered a heavy shunt into the boundaries on the exit of Flip 7 on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, a monitor infamous for its native groundhog inhabitants. Albon misplaced management of his FW48 after coming throughout a marmot on the monitor, sustaining injury to the precise facet and rear of the automotive.
