George Russell has spoken about his frustration with the FIA for not responding to the Grand Prix Drivers’ Affiliation and mentioned many drivers are “fed up with the entire state of affairs”.

The GPDA launched an announcement concentrating on the FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem following the Brazilian Grand Prix during which it urged the FIA to deal with its members “like adults” and for Ben Sulayem to “contemplate his personal tone and language when speaking to our member drivers, or certainly about them”.

The GPDA’s assertion adopted the controversy targeted on Max Verstappen being given group service for swearing within the Singapore GP Thursday press convention.

Russell, a director of the GPDA, says the letter was a method of displaying Ben Sulayem simply how strongly the drivers felt on the matter.

“Getting issues to vary or guarantees upheld appears barely more difficult,” he mentioned. “Perhaps the FIA or the president didn’t recognise how severely all of us felt.

“Over the course of 20 races this yr and even final yr we spoke about numerous matters, all of the drivers, we really feel fairly comparable, we all know what we would like from the game and the instructions it has been heading and we really feel we would like a small U-turn on numerous matters and we wish to work along with the FIA on this.

“We felt that has not been taking place in any respect from the president.”
