Sky Sports activities F1 pundit and former Method 1 driver Martin Brundle believes the 2026 championship stays “removed from over” following McLaren’s Hungarian Grand Prix victory.
Writing in his post-race Sky Sports activities F1 column forward of the August summer season break, the previous driver analysed the shift within the aggressive order. McLaren’s newest growth bundle yielded the Woking outfit’s 14th win on the Hungaroring.
“If McLaren have made a good improve step which interprets properly to different circuits, this was the group’s 14th Hungaroring victory, and with the highest 4 ever nearer, this championship is way from over,” he wrote.
Assuming the rest of the calendar goes forward, 291 factors stay up for grabs. There may be some uncertainty over the Qatar Grand Prix and the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which may very well be affected by the continuing battle within the Center East.
