Lewis Hamilton was handed a five-second penalty throughout the Hungarian Grand Prix for exceeding the pitlane pace restrict by simply 0.1km/h.
The penalty, which dropped Hamilton to fifth place regardless of crossing the road in fourth, left former driver and Sky Sports activities Components 1 pundit Anthony Davidson utterly puzzled as he analysed the onboard footage.
The official ruling from the FIA stewards confirmed that the seven-time champion’s Ferrari was clocked at precisely 80.1km/h within the pitlane, 0.1km/h over the restrict.
Throughout an in depth evaluation of Hamilton’s onboard digicam footage, Davidson struggled to see the place the Briton had exceeded the restrict.
