A annoyed Charles Leclerc is feeling “ashamed” of himself after crashing in qualifying for the Formulation 1 Barcelona Grand Prix, leaving him tenth on Sunday’s grid.
The Ferrari driver drifted onto the dustier line at Flip 4, inevitably inflicting him to lose the again finish and spin into the barrier on the primary push lap of his Q3 session.
It has continued an underwhelming run for Leclerc, who’s and not using a podium since Japan in March and crashed out from third at his dwelling race in Monaco final weekend.
He blamed final week’s crash on his brakes, so switched to an identical configuration as team-mate Lewis Hamilton, however nonetheless had little impact as he ended one other session in a downbeat temper.

The result’s made worse by Hamilton qualifying second, so he’s in a superb place to increase his factors benefit over Leclerc after leaping forward following his podiums in Canada and Monaco.
So, this weekend is now a case of injury limitation for the Monegasque, who was simply making an attempt to over-correct the pace deficit he thinks Ferrari had at Flip 4 in Barcelona.
Leclerc informed Sky Sports activities: “I launched the brakes earlier. I feel we have been near being the quickest automotive each nook other than Flip 4.
“I knew it was a weak point, I knew I needed to make all the things good for that lap. I attempted, however I clearly remorse it and once more I really feel very a lot ashamed.
