McLaren’s promotional poster for the System 1 Miami Grand Prix, designed by illustrator Matt Taylor, has left followers excited for a possible particular livery for the upcoming Florida race.
Some eagle-eyed followers consider that the design hints at a retro, Sega-inspired livery paying tribute to Ayrton Senna’s legendary 1993 win at Donington Park.
Throughout the design, which options the MCL40, Sonic the Hedgehog and the enduring gold rings from the retro sport franchse, followers noticed the silhouette of the McLaren MP4/8, which Senna drove through the 1993 season.Â
Sega was the title sponsor of the 1993 European Grand Prix held at Donington Park.
