Former Components 1 driver and Sky Sports activities analyst Martin Brundle believes empliying Jonathan Wheatley could be a “sensible transfer” for Aston Martin, although he cautioned that the Silverstone outfit should stabilise its administration construction.
Audi confirmed on 20 March that Wheatley had left his function as staff principal with fast impact as a result of private causes. Whereas the 58-year-old is but to substantiate his subsequent transfer, Motorsport understands that the Briton is ready to affix Aston Martin.
Talking on the Sky Sports activities F1 Present, Brundle admitted that the transfer initially caught him off guard, regardless of listening to paddock whispers earlier within the season.
