Having dominated the opening DTM race on Saturday on the Purple Bull Ring, Rene Rast endured a nightmare Sunday with two penalty laps and misplaced the championship lead forward of the season finale.
In Sunday’s race, Rast crossed the end line in thirteenth and misplaced his general lead again to Landgraf Mercedes driver Lucas Auer.
