Sainz hit with Japanese GP grid drop for impeding Hamilton in qualifying

driver has obtained a three-place grid penalty for Formulation 1’s Japanese Grand Prix for impeding Ferrari’s in qualifying.

Arriving at excessive velocity into Flip 1 for his closing flying lap in Q2, Hamilton encountered Sainz in the course of the highway, having to abort his lap and take avoiding motion into the runoff space.
