“He may win it as a result of the way in which that he is been driving, I feel Mercedes are the sure-fire favourites for Monza nonetheless,” Palmer stated of Antonelli. “However while you reference Max’s comeback wins, that is largely in opposition to Checo, is not it? Who was so much additional away from Max’s tempo than George is of Kimi’s. And George was higher in Zandvoort.
“I do know he nonetheless did not put the race collectively. He had two unhealthy first laps that set him aside. And his race tempo wasn’t fairly nearly as good as Kimi’s both. However I do not assume in a clear race Kimi will come from tenth or eleventh to beat George if George is anyplace close to type from pole place.

“If Kimi wins in Monza with a grid penalty, he’s champion. I am going to go so far as saying that. It will be such a crushing blow. He may have received his house race with a load of overtaking, big aplomb, and it’ll suck the life out of George to not take factors out of him in Monza. George has to win this.”
